I am an accomplished writer and creative writing instructor with a track record of significant achievements in the literary world. My work has been longlisted for the Irish Book Awards Short Story of the Year and the Penguin Michael Joseph Prize, shortlisted for the Brick Lane Short Story Prize, and was the runner-up for The Mairtín Crawford Award. My writings have been featured in numerous anthologies and publications. A highlight of my career is my non-fiction work on the pandemic, which has been preserved in the Irish Reading Archive at the UCD Library in Dublin for the next 100 years, underscoring its historical significance and impact. I hold an MA in Creative Writing from Queen’s University, Belfast, and I am dedicated to nurturing the next generation of writers through my teaching. In addition to my teaching role, I am honoured to have served as a judge for the Mairtín Crawford Award and the Jigsaw Youth Writing Prize. I also contribute as a reader for The Stinging Fly, helping to discover and promote new literary talent.
