Ok...its time I filled this section in...my time as newbie to blogging is over! For anyone who wants to know a bit more about me...I'm a 40 something guy...but still feel like I just left college! Hence my love of all-things outdoors. I grew up in that quaint old place called England...London, to be precise..and so had no chance to do anything I really wanted, like walking amongst mountains and forests. Dad was at work all the time and mum was, well..mum! Fast forward 30 years or so, and I find myself in BC....a dream come true! Gosh..there must be someone up there listening to my prayers after all! How do I earn my bread? Well, I qualified as an electronics engineer many moons ago and had the opportunity of working on some of the most advanced aircraft radars around. After a decade of that, I got fed up, and branched out into something completely different...financial services! But, alas, it was bad timing...the recession came along soon after and my career lasted but a few years! So yet again, I requalified as a Quality Assurance auditor, and now work on a freelance basis auditing ISO 9000 documentation, performing audits etc etc for companies all over Canada and the USA (anybody requiring any kind of ISO 9000 help, please feel free to contact me on juniperberry123 at hotmail dot com). I also write articles about photography, hiking, walking, the great outdoors, health, yoga, chi kung, the mind, etc. My hobbies? Well...walking (obviously..!), photography, chi-kung, yoga, writing, reading (a lot), and generally complaining about the world! Oh, and who is that doggie in the photo above? That's my partner and friend, called Shera! He's 4 yrs old, loves walking in the mountains and is a gentle giant, despite people crossing the road to the other side when they see him walking towards them!
