After working 15 years at Dell Technologies in several sales and leadership positions, Tripp Plaskett joined NetApp in Nashville as a Client Executive. At NetApp, he helps clients manage, secure, and optimize their data across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments through the company’s integrated hardware, software, and services. His work is grounded in collaboration, trust, and a commitment to delivering measurable business results. Tripp John Plaskett has earned recognition for his ability to combine technical knowledge with effective leadership. His skills include strategic sales planning, technical sales, and data-driven decision-making. He has consistently exceeded sales goals, managed complex client portfolios, and established lasting relationships that foster customer success. John Plaskett began his career at Dell Technologies in 2010 as a Storage Expert and was promoted to Technical Sales Manager within three years. In this position, he led a team of sales professionals, coaching them toward improvement and implementing training programs to enhance their technical and sales capabilities. He also created detailed territory management plans that maximized performance and efficiency. In 2017, he became Enterprise Inside Sales Director, managing 48 sellers and sales leaders. In this role, he focused on developing a culture of continuous improvement, goal setting, and open communication. Later, as a Data Center Sales Executive and Account Executive, he continued to exceed performance targets, manage high-value accounts, and provide tailored solutions to client challenges. His achievements have been recognized with several honors, including FY22 Director of the Year, Manager of the Year FY19, and multiple quarterly and half-year awards. He was also named to Dell’s President’s Club in 2019, which recognizes top performers for outstanding results. His professional development includes earning the CML-Certified Storage Architect and VTSP Certification. He also completed the Dell Leadership Development Program, the RSDU Program, the Dale Carnegie Effective Communications and HR Program, and the Nancy Graves Executive Communications Program. These credentials reflect his commitment to professional growth and excellence. In addition to his professional career, he has demonstrated a commitment to community involvement. He participated in Push America, now known as Journey of Hope - The Ability Experience, where he was one of 50 men who cycled across the United States to promote disability awareness. The group traveled over 8,000 miles and raised more than $500,000 to support people with disabilities. He also volunteers for community initiatives and is a member of Christ the King Church in Nashville. In his personal time, he enjoys golf, hiking, and kayaking.
