I started helping a dog rescue group & walking dogs weekly at the pound, after I lost my boxer Angie, I feel in love English Staffordshire Bullterriers, Staffys I found they get a real bad rap in life, they are used & abused either for breeding or dog fighting most end up in pounds in Australia, I resuced my boy Patch mid November 2012 on his birthday yes his kill day was his birthday, he was used as a breeding dog & just chained out in a back yard, finally the owners gave him to the pound when he was 4 yrs old probably due to health problems, when I got Patch he was weeing blood, he was desexed put on vet diet to dissolve his crystals, He came to me in very bad condition, no fur around his neck where a thick leather collar had grown into his neck, burn marks on his front & back legs from rope burn where he must of tried to pull to see what's going on around him..He was suppost to get desexed, trained then put up for adoption but I fell in love with Patch, this dog that was used by humans had so much love for us humans still, I don't know why, On our walks he goes up to everyone he meets sits then lifts his paw to shake hands...I love to save another dog but Patch has had a few health problems along the way, I need to get them all sorted before I get him a mate...
