Roger Hoit

Roger Hoit holds the position of Managing Director at Moelis & Company. In this role, he is instrumental in delivering strategic counsel to a diverse clientele comprising financial sponsor firms. With a career spanning more than two decades in investment banking, his expertise covers a broad spectrum of corporate finance operations. His portfolio of work includes pivotal roles in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), leveraged buyouts, and the structuring of equity and debt financings, alongside advising on optimal capital structures. As the Chairman of the Private Equity Solutions Group, Roger plays a critical role. His advisory services reach an elite segment of clients, including top-tier Private Equity, Alternative Asset Management, and Family Office establishments globally. Operating from the Moelis & Company office in West Palm Beach, Florida, his contributions are foundational to the firm's success. His career trajectory prior to Moelis & Company saw him at Morgan Stanley within the Global Financial Sponsors Group as a Managing Director. There, he established a premier advisory service for financial sponsors and their portfolio companies. Earlier, he held significant positions at SG Cowen (a Société Générale division) and Gleacher & Co., where he was both a Managing Director and Partner. His professional foundation was laid at PaineWebber Incorporated following his graduation from Amherst College with a B.A. in Economics. Apart from Hoit's distinguished banking career, he is renowned on the golf course. An accomplished amateur golfer, he has made his mark both nationally and internationally. His participation has seen him compete in over 25 National Championships under the auspices of the USGA and the Royal & Ancient. His recent return from South Korea marked a significant victory with the United States team in The Bridges Cup. This bi-annual event features a face-off between top amateur golfers from the U.S. and an international team, showcasing his significant contribution to his team's triumph.
