This is the beginning of a new dialogue. There have been too many times that, as a legal services to the poor, elderly and victims of violence free attorney, I felt jaded and compromised. As an attorney, I had an ethical obligation to represent only one party, virtually ignoring the other party’s needs and often sense of self-respect. If children were involved, often the effect showed in no concern for best interest of the children, despite the best efforts of the Court.
