Olivet University

Biblical Higher Education

Olivet University is a private Christian institution focused on preparing students for leadership, ministry, and service. With a mission deeply rooted in biblical truth, Olivet provides an education that unites spiritual growth with academic excellence. The university believes that authentic learning begins with faith and that every student is called to use their knowledge to serve others and glorify God. Founded in 2000 as the Olivet Theological College & Seminary (OTCS), the institution began as a seminary dedicated to training men and women for global missions. It quickly expanded its programs to include theological education and distance learning, reaching students worldwide who desired to grow in their faith and ministry skills. As its influence grew, the need for a broader educational framework became clear. In 2004, under the guidance of the late Dr. Ralph D. Winter, the seminary transitioned into Olivet University. This marked a defining moment in its history, transforming it into a whole Christian university that integrates biblical education, professional training, and spiritual formation. Dr. Winter envisioned a “sanctuary of truth,” where students could strengthen their faith while developing the intellectual and practical tools needed to impact the world. The main campus, situated in the tranquil Anza Valley of California, offers a serene setting that fosters prayer, reflection, and community. Surrounded by nature, students find an environment ideal for studying God’s Word and pursuing their personal calling. In addition to the Anza campus, Olivet has expanded to several major U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, St. Louis, Orlando, Nashville, and Washington, D.C., allowing its mission to reach a wider audience. Faith is at the heart of life at Olivet University. Students gather for chapel, prayer meetings, and Bible studies that strengthen both their relationship with God and their sense of community. Service is equally vital; students participate in outreach programs, food drives, and mission work that embody the values of compassion and humility. Olivet’s faculty and mentors guide students in their academic and spiritual journeys, encouraging them to connect faith with practice. Through learning, worship, and service, Olivet University continues to cultivate servant-leaders who live with integrity, wisdom, and a heart for serving others in the name of Christ.
