Nick Dolbin is a law enforcement leader with more than 16 years of experience in public safety, department operations, supervision, and emergency response. He serves as Chief of the Timberlake Police Department and brings a career shaped by patrol work, administrative responsibility, officer training, and community service. His background includes recognized work in traffic enforcement, impaired-driving enforcement, drug interdiction, youth outreach, gun safety education, and department service, reflecting a steady commitment to public safety and responsible leadership. Nick has held several roles that required accountability, sound judgment, and practical leadership in law enforcement settings. Before serving as chief, he worked as a police sergeant and supported command-level responsibilities, patrol oversight, training duties, and daily department functions. His experience as a TAC Officer, Field Training Officer, Taser Instructor, and firearms instructor allowed him to help officers build skills, follow proper procedures, and remain prepared for the demands of police service. Dolbin also served in emergency communications leadership as a 911 Operations Supervisor for a county-level public safety system. In that position, he supervised call-takers in a high-volume environment that managed thousands of calls each day. His responsibilities included assisting with public alerts, AMBER Alerts, mass-casualty response coordination, media alerts, cell phone pings, radio traffic monitoring, and special requests from police and fire agencies, as well as reviewing employee performance and recommending training when appropriate. Nick Dolbin began his public safety career as an entry-level police officer assigned to patrol a subsidized housing complex. He later served with multiple police departments, gaining experience in patrol, enforcement, administration, command support, and training. His career included involvement in a major methamphetamine seizure during a traffic stop, along with administrative duties related to dispatch, radio systems, field training programs, uniforms, vehicles, equipment, policies, procedures, recruitment, grants, and annual in-service training. Nick has completed a broad range of certifications that support his work in law enforcement, communications, training, and emergency response. His credentials include Crisis Intervention Training, Public Safety Telecommunicator, Emergency Medical Dispatch, Communications Training Officer, Field Training Officer, Background Investigator, Semi-Auto Pistol Instructor, Shotgun Instructor, and Taser Instructor. These areas of training show his focus on preparation, responsible instruction, safe practices, and professional readiness across both field and supervisory responsibilities. Dolbin developed additional management experience before entering law enforcement through his earlier career in the insurance industry. He worked in statewide operations, workers’ compensation management, and claims-related roles that required organization, communication, case review, and customer service. He interacted with injured workers, medical providers, employers, and attorneys, gaining a foundation in documentation, problem-solving, and service delivery that later supported his leadership style in public safety and administrative law enforcement roles. Nick Dolbin earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on management and labor relations, later expanding his education through police academy training and executive management leadership coursework. He is also a licensed real estate agent and business owner involved in real estate sales and property management. Outside his professional responsibilities, he values family time, home improvement projects, exercise, and personal fitness, maintaining a balanced approach to service, work, and personal life.
