I'm a writer of prose that likes to be understood as poetry. It is not the easiest niche to occupy, but neither am I. I completed my B.A. (Hons.) and M.A. (with Distinction) in English Literature and Creative Writing in Montreal. I now live in Toronto. I am inspired by the lyrics of Stephen Malkmus and Morrisey (in his Smiths days). I have immense respect for the following authors: Gail Scott and Catherine Kidd (both of whom I've had the privilege of being taught by) Corey Frost, Mary Burger, Irvine Welsh, Oscar Wilde, Allen Ginsberg and Charles Bukowski and any writer that manages to write for people who don't normally care to read.
