Ken graduated from Penn State University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. His professional journey began with Revlon before he moved to Forest Pharmaceuticals, where he would spend most of his career. Over 27 years, he held various sales and management positions, gaining deep insights into the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Ken’s achievements at Forest Pharmaceuticals were recognized early on. He received the company’s top awards, including Rookie of the Year, Representative of the Year, and Sales Manager of the Year. These honors led to multiple promotions. In 2002, he was appointed to the corporate office, where he managed the State Government Affairs Department. Three years later, he took on the task of building and leading the Federal Public Policy & Government Affairs Department, a crucial role during the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Ken’s final role at Forest Laboratories (now Allergan) was as an Anti-Infective Hospital Specialist, focusing on infectious diseases and hospital-based treatments. Ken set a personal goal to retire by 50, achieving it through disciplined planning. At 19, a family friend advised him to divide life into three stages: the first for learning, the second for hard work and providing for one’s family, and the third for enjoying the rewards of one’s efforts. Ken applied this advice throughout his career, creating a solid financial plan, working with a team of advisors, and maintaining the discipline to stick to his long-term goals. After reaching his retirement goal, Ken Termini now focuses on helping others. He mentors college student leaders, offering guidance on how to leverage their college experiences when applying for jobs. By sharing his insights, Ken helps the next generation of professionals take their first steps toward successful careers.
