Julie Asher Lee Fine Art

Julie grew up in the rolling hills and wooded forests of central Missouri. She spent most of her formative years outdoors, and these close associations with nature and wildlife have left an indelible impression as she seeks to faithfully recreate the images from her memory. A quick look at her projects reveals Julie's love of nature, as landscapes and wildlife permeate her themes. She is also fascinated by the interplay of light and color in revealing the true essence of her subject matter. Not limiting herself to one medium of painting or a certain style, Julie might be doing a photorealistic portrait in oils one day and an abstract in acrylics the next. She definitely loves the challenge of painting a wide and varied array of subjects. Julie taught color theory and drawing at Travis Academy of Fine Art in Ft. Worth, TX. She is a member of the Johnson County Art Guild, American Women Artists, and Oil Painters of America.
