Dr. Diane Vigna is Associate Professor of Textiles, Clothing & Design, and Extension Specialist for Textiles and Apparel at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln. Vigna is a former entrepreneur who has worked as an interior designer, real estate salesperson, as owner/manager of an antiques business and a craftsman’s cooperative business. She and her husband are currently developing a new retail enterprise in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Her academic work focuses on Nebraska’s textile and apparel industry, youth entrepreneurship, rural retailing, and small business networks.
