G'day, I'm Chris Gilbert - an Aussie/American who likes to tell stories in words and digital film. I prefer telling untold stories, about people who make remarkable contributions to human community, and there's plenty of them, I discover! In partnership with my wife Jo, I enjoy an adventurous life. After 18 years in the US we relocated from Beverly in Massachusetts, to Noosa Heads in Queensland, then North Sydney, Point Clare in NSW, and now settled for the long haul we trust, in Epping, an urban hub of Sydney, Australia. We're profoundly sure of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as a matter of history, and so Jo and I speak and act from our trust in him. I'm passionate about the need for reform in western education because telling the truth is an essential element for freedom, and prosperity for all. I believe we need more Puddleglums to put a foot in the fire, (from the CS Lewis story - The Silver Chair) and so break the many enchantments in our secular societies that rob us of freedom. That's why I taught until July 2025 as a lecturer in Christian Formation and Ethics I enjoy wandering Sydney Harbour by ferry or along the foreshores. And exploring the history of the various places we experience in our travels.
